Same Area -- New Companion

20 June 2016

This week has been good, but we didn't really work like at all, but I'm going to explain that. First I am staying in my area and I am getting a new companion named Elder Mollis it’s going to be awesome! I’m way excited, he is a good kid! :) I do go home and will be home August third at 10:30am so yupp awesome!

Monday normal p-day and taught Jofre, it was good, but nothing special!

Tuesday we went out  working, but no one was home or could attend us so that was sad, but it was a good day!

Wednesday we had exchanges with the district leader and it was good. I got to teach a little which was fun! I ate a full green pepper that about killed me, we had to chew it for 40 seconds and then we swallowed it was awful! But thats life! :)

Thursday we tried to have a interview for Cristion, but it didn't happen so we just tried to set it for the next day and get all that stuff ready!

Friday we had the interview in the morning and then the baptism at night and it was awesome! I was way happy!

Saturday worked in the morning and then had meetings at night.

Sunday we had a random interview with President Goats because my comp was being so bad that the branch president complained so that was weird, and basically I just told him all the stuff he has been doing wrong, so that sucked and was way awkward and still is! But it’s good!

So yupp now I'm just finishing strong!
I love you guys be safe!

Love, Jayson

Pretty Good Week

13 June 2016

So this week has been pretty good, working hard, but not a ton happening, not true… a lot happening I just have been feeling really weird. Thinking about the fact that I'm ending here so soon is just kinda freaking me out—like I don't know. Maybe it doesn't help that my emotions are like going crazy and I don't know I'm just out of my mind, I think I just think too much, you know me mom.  I don't know I think it is just as the mission comes to a close all the things start getting harder and harder. I don't know, but at least I'm working hard!
That is Kike -- the people where we had asado with last p-day

Monday we went to the Jofre family and it was good, but they showed up pretty late so it was a lot of chatting before we started teaching,  which was a bummer, but a good lesson!

Tuesday lots of work, but no luck, and then a meeting with the zone!

Wednesday we went and visited with Crisitain who is getting baptized this next week and it was good and he learned a lot about Gods plan. Then that night we visited with a lady and it was way fun just to chat and help her son want to go to church.

Thursday we had one less active and they were way cool, a good family that I like a lot, but I just don't see progress. Sad, but cool family.
Taylor’s camera thinks of me!

Friday we taught Juan Jaque who is trying his best, but just isn't really progressing and I feel bad for the guy! He wants to, but to be good with the family and to complete the role of the father, its way hard for him to go to church and do the things he needs to go! Then the Jofre family again, and it was a good little lesson where I talked the whole time, my comp didn't even chime in but twice, it was so bad that the investigators were making chirping noises when I would look to him to give the next part of the lesson.

Saturday we saw Mecha and his family it was really good, but he isn't ready… he just isn't ready to make the sacrifice for the Lord and make the changes he has to make to be a member, its hard, but its happening! I have mad plans for this week we will see what happens!

Sunday the Jofres and Cristian came to church again… awesome! But we had our ward mission leader teach the class and it was so bad, we literally as in anyone in the class could never say more then like 2 words, even when he made questions, it was just dumb... but then we had lunch with some Mexican friends and it was awesome, I loved it! Really a pretty good day!

I had a extra zapallo (squash I think) and I made a mashed potato type stuff. It made me think of Thanksgiving! I had that yam stuff we make! :)

So there is the week! Pray for me that I can be strong and resist temptation and work hard until the end.
I love you mom.

Miracles Happened This Week

Okay this may be a little fast, I have to go and buy some things because some people don't really plan ahead well. So we are going to go do some stuff quickly— and so ya this should a be a little fast!

So questions!

What type of service do you generally do?
We are working hard to help a guy build a house. Next week I will send you a picture of him — he is awesome and named Kike or Enrique!

Is your apartment finally warm?
The pension is a little warmer so I can sleep in shorts at least with all my blankets and stuff and I'm okay!

Apostate? Does that mean your district is not following the rules—or just that you guys like to have a little fun?
Like the district is really fun, but there is one elder who has a really, really rough past like he has done bad things and I have no doubt about it. He swears a lot, like a ton, in both languages and it rubs off on the rest of them… so it is a little like that. Then when we are together like the other day we just stay up talking for way too long — its fine, but it’s hard when I'm trying hard to not do that stuff! I mean I'm just doing what I can to not participate too much!

How is Aldana? Did you ask the QUESTION?
Aldana is good, but I don’t think she is ready. Her boyfriend and her just barely started living together, and now they are not ready to marry or separate so I can’t baptize her. So thats rough, but miracles happened this week!

Monday we went and talked to Franco and Diego, it was awesome, but nothing super special. We just chatted and talked about lesson one with them and their brother Jose who really does have a lot of interest!

Tuesday we went and did service with Kike, it was way fun making cement and laying bricks! ;O

Wednesday we just worked I don’t remember anything specific from this day, so I mean I guess it was good, but I'm not positive, but I think it was good! Oh, we had a meeting with President that lasted all day. It was all about putting baptismal dates!

Thursday we went and taught the Avila family…this is the family with seven daughters. We taught all about baptism and it was incredible! At the end I invited them again to get baptized and they said like “What are the requirements?” and I told them that he had to stop smoking and they had to get married... So that was rough because he didn't want to get married. I looked at him and asked "Can you see yourself happy with anyone else besides your woman? Better yet can you see yourself happy with any women who are not the eight that you have in your family right now? He told me no. Then I asked if he wanted them forever or until death do them part? He said forever, and I said the only way was through marriage now, and baptism, and then a sealing in the temple. He said yes and the date is for my last Saturday in the mission. Best day ever!

Friday and Saturday we worked…hard nothing special.

Sunday we got invited to an awesome asado, but nothing really work wise. I had lamb meet for the first time and there is nothing better! I love lamb so much… it was so good! ;)
Ask me about the asado next week I want to explain it!

I love you a ton, but need to go!
Be safe!

Good Day!

30 May 2016

So this week was good we had sunshine until Thursday and then we haven't seen it until today and then I had to take a bus ride to help some people who had no money and it is all socked in with fog so that sucks, but that is life I guess...

Monday we didn't make it into anyones house... sad but it happens!

Tuesday we also were unable to make it into anyone house, but we did some service in the morning and that was fun!

Wednesday we did more service and then we had a way cool activity in the church for patriots day in this country! It was way fun. We had Cristian Santos there and then we had a less active named Fidel there, it was awesome! I played american football and taught them how to play and throw and then we wrestled in the grass and I whooped on them even though they are training in the gym and all that jazz! So then we taught Cristain and Fidel and they just talked about all the clean fun we can have in the church, then they said that the mormons are like “The little house on the Prairie” and I laughed. I thought it was  funny just how they see the mormon culture, so loving and there isn't any people drinking or mad or anything and we sing and it’s awesome! I was just like we are cool! We do have happiness in the church, we are a happy place! I loved it way good lesson!

Thursday we had a district meeting that I sent you pictures of, where we all ended up in bed. My district is way apostate, but I mean that happens I say what I think, and they do what they want, but doing the meeting in the pension was fun and afterwards just chilling in bed with six guys was cool I guess! ;)

Friday we taught Franco and Diego. I was really honest with them and I just looked at them and told them I love them and I would like to see them in heaven, but they wont make it there without the baptism that we have to offer, and I just strait asked them if they wanted to change? They said yes! It was awesome! I love them—it was a good day!

Saturday we taught Romiro, we read from Alma 5, then I asked if they died right then if they would be ready? Then we taught Juan Jaque finally and we set a date for his baptism for the 25th of this next month I’m pumped! Then that night we had a lesson with he family Avila and it was awesome! We tried to put a date and the wife accepted, but the husband a little less! So awesome still!

Sunday Cristian came to church and it was awesome! I love that kid he is only 20, but he is on his way to being a great member! IT’S awesome!
Then that night we taught Aldana and it was great, she is awesome!! I should have asked for a fecha (baptismal date), but I lost all my courage! I  know I'm a baby!

So that’s the week! You are right I had no help out this week, I just have to keep going!  I think — I mean I just need to aguantar!

I love you mom!
